I grew up with the ocean as my backyard in nova scotia
The unpleasant scent of low tide is home.
I love movement in photography
and this is probably because at my core I am a mover
A dance artist
I see movement everywhere
One step, one gesture, bringing us to the next moment
I want to share the journeys, the to and from
How we get from one place to another lies the adventure
Not only the final destination
It’s when things go wrong
where the fun begins
And the photos should be taken
I wish to transport you there
“ It is my experience both as an artist and as a teacher that when we move out on faith into the act of creation, the universe is able to advance. It is a little like opening the gate at the top of a field irrigation system. Once we remove the blocks, the flow moves in.” - The Artist’s way, Julia Cameron
In 2017, I discovered a new means of expression: photography. With my first camera in hand, I delved into the world of visual storytelling, experimenting with composition, light, and shadow. Just as I choreographed dances, I now choreographed scenes, capturing moments and weaving narratives with each click of the shutter.
My creative journey began as a professional contemporary dance artist, and I’ve since infused that sense of movement and fluidity into my photography, art direction, and communication—always staying mindful of the audience (your clientele).
Over the years, I’ve directed, critiqued, and styled across various artistic mediums. At the heart of everything I create, it’s all about capturing moments and movement.
What sets me apart as a creative is my ability to see beyond the surface—to understand not just what is in the frame, but what lies beneath it. I strive to evoke emotion, to make my viewers feel as though they are not merely observing an image, but experiencing a moment firsthand. Whether I'm photographing a landscape, a portrait, or a product, my goal remains the same: to create an experience that resonates, that moves, that inspires action.
In a world where visuals are key to making an impact, I offer more than just photographs; I offer experiences.
Through my lens, I invite you to see the world as I do—to feel the rhythm of the ocean, the joy of dance, and the magic of a fleeting moment captured forever.
